- Biography
- Hilda Westerberg is an illustrator, artist and cartoonist based in Malmö, where she attended comic art school for 3 years. Her work focuses on autobiographical narratives, and is characterized by vibrant colors and dynamic textures. She finds inspiration by collecting stories from her own life and those around her, often from secluded places, like the small village in the north of Sweden where her family originates. Old children’s books, architecture and animated films are also a source of inspiration for Hilda.As a graphic artist Hilda specializes in visual storytelling, crafting her own visual worlds. Her artistic methods are both by using digital and analogue techniques, working with ink, crayons, acrylics and drawing pad. Which makes her work diverse and unique. Her style is often described as naive, colorful, accessible and typically with a touch of humor. She is easy to collaborate with, and is adept at working with a variation of clientele, offering them a spectrum of creative solutions.She is currently working on her debut graphic novel, set to be published in 2026 by Kaunitz-Olsson. The book focuses on the city of Kiruna and explores how the city's mining developments impact a group of young adults
