  • Carl Hjelte studied photography at the prestigious International Center of Photography, ICP in New York City, the worlds leading institution in photography and visual culture. Carl Hjelte´s work spans classical genres including reportage, portraiture, landscape and architecture. While exploring diverse themes and phenomena in his storytelling, his approach always remains very intuitive, spontaneous and natural. Nevertheless he is also very focused on the form, composition and beauty of the images. Driven by a profound love for the medium and its expressive possibilities, his vision, curiosity and dedication have resulted in numerous international collaborations and commissioned assignments alongside his long-term art projects.
